Interlaken West station

One of the great advantages of Freihofstrasse 18 is the combination of rural quiet and straightforward mobility. In only seven to eight minutes you stroll on foot across the Aare bridge to Interlaken West station — by bicycle the way takes barely three minutes. From here a direct connection opens onto the whole Swiss rail network and well beyond.

InterCity and ICE trains every half hour bring commuters into the centre of Bern in less than 50 minutes; Basel, Zurich and Zurich Airport can also be reached with no change of train, or with only a short connection. This link opens ways of living that are otherwise hard to combine: working in the city, keeping appointments on the Swiss Plateau, and returning in the evening, within a very short time, to an alpine refuge. At Freihofstrasse 18 a car becomes purely optional — for everyday life and the journey to work you simply do not need one.
